NORDENSKJÖLD LAKE

The lake is named after the Swede Otto Nordenskjöld, who explored the region at the beginning of the 20th century. The outfall of Nordenskjöld Lake consists of a waterfall known as Salto Grande, which you can visit on our W Basecamp trips! The Nordenskjöld is known to be a spectacle when the Patagonian strong winds
crash with it’s turquoise waters, creating big water columns!
