MOUNT FERRIER
Mount Ferrier lies on the western flank of Torres del Paine National Park, diving the infinite Southern Patagonian Ice Cap from the rest of the Paine Massif. Ferrier is a peak that is not part of the Paine Massif. It is located though, on a very privilege site right in between the Southern Patagonian Ice field and the Massif. Therefore, if you have the legs to climb the steep trail to its lookout, you will be rewarded by one of the most beautiful views of the area from a higher ground. You will spot Grey Lake and River, Paine Grande and the Paine Horns from above. The panoramic view from this summit is truly unbelievable as the Tyndall, Zapata, Pingo and Grey glaciers sprawl away around you to the west, and the glorious jagged peaks of Torres del Paine arise to the east. You can explore this amazing hike on our W Basecamp trips!
