GREY GLACIER
Grey Glacier is our park´s jewel! Tears will fall from your eyes the first time you spot it. It’s a huge blue giant that’s born from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, just west of the Paine Massif. The Grey flows southward into the lake of the same name. Before dividing in three fronts. The glacier is 6 kilometers wide and over 30 meters high in some parts. Its walls continue deep down under the grey waters of the lake. The Glacier is always moving and breaking! You can hear the roar at night from Grey camp (the closest to the Glacier.) All this huge pieces of ice, become icebergs that float on the lake and get pushed and carved to the most impossible shapes by the strong winds and sun. If you want to get closer, you can do an amazing Ice Hike on top of the glacier! This can be an add-on to your W or O treks!
